The plain-language rules for using our apps and downloads.
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version. Our apps reformat your exports so QuickBooks can import them. Always look over a converted file before you import it, because you and your client are responsible for what goes into the books. If something goes wrong, the most we owe you is what you paid us in the last 12 months.
DigitalBuilds.org (“we”, “us”) makes small file-conversion tools for bookkeepers and small businesses. By using this website, any of our apps, the Conversion Kit, the transaction counters or the QuickBooks Cleanup Playbook (together, the “Services”), you agree to these terms. If you use the Services for a business or for clients, you agree on behalf of that business.
Our converter apps take export files from platforms such as PayPal, Shopify, Square, Gusto, Amazon, Etsy and eBay and rearrange them into a layout that QuickBooks Online can import. The transaction counters count transactions in a file. The Services do not connect to your QuickBooks account and never import anything into it themselves. You decide whether and when to import a converted file.
We build the apps to stop and tell you when a file looks wrong, rather than convert it incorrectly. Even so, platforms change their export formats, and no tool can catch every problem. Before importing, you agree to:
The Services are a tool, not accounting, tax or legal advice. You and your client remain responsible for the accuracy of the books and any filings based on them.
Your files belong to you. The converter apps process each export in memory and discard it once your download starts; the converted file is not kept unless you tick “keep a copy.” We store your email address (for sign-in and credits) and a simple log of file names and row counts. The Conversion Kit and the transaction counters run in your browser, so their files are never uploaded to us. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Only upload files you have the right to use.
If an app doesn’t work with your files, contact us within 14 days of purchase through the Support page and we’ll try to fix it. If we can’t, we’ll refund that purchase. Because the QuickBooks Cleanup Playbook is a digital download delivered right away, it isn’t refundable once downloaded, unless the file is faulty.
You agree not to resell or redistribute the Services, share your account outside your firm, try to break or overload them, copy or reverse-engineer them to build a competing product, or use them for anything unlawful.
We own the apps, website, Conversion Kit, counters and Playbook, including their design and content. You may use them as described here. You own your original files and the converted files you download.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, or that a converted file will be accepted by QuickBooks.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, bookkeeping corrections, penalties or fees. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using the Services at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Questions about these terms: support@digitalbuilds.org or the Support page.
